• • Email me at Dana@inspiredpetportraits.com to start the process. I will follow-up with questions about your pet & request copies of your favorite photos. If you are local, I would love to meet your pet to get a feel for his/her personality! If you require your portrait by a specific date, please let me know up front. Usually, I need a couple months lead time, depending on my workload. Once I start your painting, it is completed within 4-6 weeks. If your timeline is tight, and the portrait is a gift, I can provide you with a gift certificate. (Actually, any time the portrait is a gift, a gift certificate is really the best way to go – this ensures that the recipient gets the portrait they will enjoy most!)

• Think about what size portrait and composition you would like. I have a preference towards close-up facial portraits, but can do full body portraits as well. The choice is yours. Take a look at my gallery and let me know which backgrounds and compositions are most pleasing to you. I will also look at your photos and make suggestions on composition and canvas shape (square vs rectangle).

• Agree on the overall format of your painting. At this point, I will also need a 50% deposit via check or credit card. 

• Approve your final painting. I will show you the portrait in person or by emailed photo. If you feel that adjustments are needed, I will make them. I want you to love the finished result! I guarantee my work. If you are not pleased with the finished result, even after modifications, I will refund your initial deposit, but reserve the right to sell your painting to someone else.

• • Accept delivery of your completed pet portrait. Once your painting is completed, your final payment is due, and I will deliver the painting to you, in person or via UPS depending on where you live.

•  Ten percent of your purchase price will be donated to local animal charities and rescue groups!
